Equities market closes on a Flat note
The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed flat. The benchmark All Share Index
(ASI) remained unchanged to close at 37,656.68. Similarly, Market Capitalization
increased by 2.9 billion to close at N19.63 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD)
returns settled at -6.49%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to gains recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Agriculture and Consumer goods sector. Some of today’s
market gainers include: IKEJAHOTEL (10.00%), FIDSON (7.91%), FCMB (3.33%),
VITAFOAM (2.81%), UCAP (1.65%), UBA (1.38%), ACCESS (1.19%), WAPCO (1.19%),
and MANSARD (1.12%) amongst others

The NASD market closed flat after today’s trading activities as the Unlisted Securities
Index (USI) remained unchanged to close at 754.81. Consequently, Market
Capitalization closed at N536.52 billion. Market activity measured by aggregate
volume decreased by 86.50% while value decreased by 85.32%. Investors traded a
total of 1,041,337 units of shares valued at N20.07 million in 30 deals
