The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed Flat. The benchmark All Share Index
(ASI) depreciated by 0.01% to close at 39,545.67. Market Capitalization decreased
by 2.4 Billion to close at N20.60 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled
at –1.80%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to losses recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Industrial and Consumer goods sector. Some of today’s
market losers include: SCOA (-9.66%), CAVERTON (-5.49%), WAPIC (-4.00%),
ACCESS (-1.04%), AIICO (-1.04%), ETI (-0.90%), GTCO (-0.88%), FBNH (-0.68%),
LIVESTOCK (-0.50%) and UCAP (-0.43%) amongst others.

The NASD market closed Positive after today’s trading activities as the Unlisted
Securities Index (USI) advanced by 0.04 % to close at 737.72. Consequently, Market
Capitalization closed at 641.20 billion. Market activity measured by aggregate
volume increased by 1174.68% while value increased by 587.89%. Investors traded a
total of 5,686,894 units of shares valued at N99.98 million in 28 deals.
