Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.27% to close at 39,219.61. Market Capitalization
decreased by 55.78 Billion to close at N20.43 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD)
returns settled at –2.61%.

Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to losses recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Industrial and Consumer goods sector. Some of today’s
market losers include: NB (-9.93%), UPDC (-7.46%), WEMABANK (-4.44%), AIICO (-
3.88%), OANDO (-2.85%), FIDELITYBK (-1.67%), STERLNBANK (-1.30%), INTBREW (-
