NGX All Share Index closes on a Flat note… ASI loses 1 Basis Point

The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Flat. The benchmark All Share Index
(ASI) depreciated by 0.01% to close at 47,262.61 pts. Market Capitalization
decreased by 3.23 billion to close at N25.47 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD)
returns settled at 10.64%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to losses recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Industrial and Consumer Goods. Some of today’s market
losers include AIICO (-5.71%), WEMABANK (-5.38%), AFRIPRUD (-4.41%), SEPLAT (-
4.26%), UBN (-4.00%), UACN (-1.61%), NASCON (-1.52%), UNILEVER (-1.41%),
JBERGER (-0.75%) and MANSARD (-0.42%) amongst others.

The NASD market closed Negative after today’s trading activities as the Unlisted
Securities Index (USI) decreased by 0.37% to close at 727.89. Consequently, Market
Capitalization closed at 616.36 billion. Market activity measured by aggregate
volume decreased by 30.81% and value decreased by 55.90%. Investors traded a
total of 84,067 units of shares valued at N2.59 million in 5 deals.
