Daily Market Report for June 16, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.69% to close at 52,411.09 pts. Market Capitalization decreased by 196.4 billion to close at N28.26 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 22.70%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 5 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Consumer Goods, Industrial, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices declined by 0.62%, 0.06%, 0.01%, 0.28% and 0.83% respectively. 
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 12.51% and value increased by 0.09%. Investors traded a total of 211 million units of shares valued at N2.37 billion in 4,750 deals
