Daily Market Report for September 12, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.14% to close at 49,626.05 pts. Market Capitalization decreased by 37.26 billion to close at N26.77 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 16.18%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Industrial and Insurance Indices declined by 0.45%, 0.29% and 1.41% respectively. Consumer Goods Index advanced by 0.02%. While Oil/Gas Index remained unchanged.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 72.86% and value decreased by 37.22%. Investors traded a total of 87 million units of shares valued at N1.17 billion in 3,377 deals.
