The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed Flat as bulls dominated proceedings in
the market today. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.02% to
close at 38,220.01. Similarly, Market Capitalization increased by 4.17 billion to close
at N19.92 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at -5.09%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to gains recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Agriculture and Consumer goods sector. Some of today’s
market gainers include: while CUTIX (10.00%), WAPIC (9.26%), OANDO (3.65%),
AFRIPRUD (2.48%), UCAP (2.24%), STANBIC (1.86%), PZ (1.75%), ACCESS (1.74%),
FIDSON (1.72%), UBA (1.36%), NEM (0.50%) and ZENITHBANK (0.42%) amongst
others.

The NASD market closed Positive after today’s trading activities as the Unlisted
Securities Index (USI) increased by 0.06% to close at 754.20. Consequently, Market
Capitalization closed at N536.09 billion. Market activity measured by aggregate
volume decreased by 99.85% while value decreased by 94.55%. Investors traded a
total of 1,520,348 units of shares valued at N38 million in 18 deals
