NGX All Share Index closes on a Negative note… ASI loses 15 Basis Point

The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share
Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.15% to close at 43,285.97. Market Capitalization
decreased by 33.36 Billion to close at N22.59 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD)
returns settled at 7.49%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to losses recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Industrial and Consumer Goods. Some of today’s market losers
include: CHAMS (-8.70%), UNITYBNK (-7.41%), FBNH (-6.50%), UACN (-4.55%),
AFRIPRUD (-3.08%), WEMABANK (-2.30%), NGXGROUP (-2.23%), WAPCO (-1.96%),
FIDELITYBK (-1.92%), UCAP (-1.53%), UBA (-1.19%), OANDO (-1.02%), TRANSCORP
(-1.01%) and GTCO (-0.76%) amongst others.
