The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Flat. The benchmark All Share Index
(ASI) depreciated by 0.02% to close at 47,354.43 pts. Market Capitalization
decreased by 5.41 billion to close at N25.52 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD)
returns settled at 10.86%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to losses recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Industrial and Consumer Goods. Some of today’s market
losers include, NIGERINS (-9.09%), SEPLAT (-3.13%), NB (-1.98%), DANGSUGAR (-
1.25%), FCMB (-1.16%), UCAP (-0.80%), UNILEVER (-0.74%), UBA (-0.58%) and
HONYFLOUR (-0.27%) amongst others.

The NASD market closed Negative after today’s trading activities as the Unlisted
Securities Index (USI) decreased by 0.40% to close at 710.19. Consequently, Market
Capitalization closed at 601.38 billion. Market activity measured by aggregate
volume decreased by 88.21% and value decreased by 70.95%. Investors traded a
total of 302,529 units of shares valued at N12.99 million in 13 deals.
