Daily Market Report for June 21, 2022
- The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Positive. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.66% to close at 51,091.75 pts. Market Capitalization increased by 180.61 billion to close at N27.54 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 19.61%.
- Performance across sectors was broadly bullish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the green zone. Banking, Industrial, and Oil/Gas Indices advanced by 0.38%, 3.86% and 0.68% respectively. While Consumer Goods and Insurance Indices declined by 0.11% and 0.06% respectively.
- Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 51.60% and value decreased by 10.86%. Investors traded a total of 166 million units of shares valued at N2.74 billion in 4,398 deals.
