Daily Market Report for September 01, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Positive. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.11% to close at 49,889.80 pts. Market Capitalization increased by 28.74 billion to close at N26.91 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 16.79%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly Bullish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the green zone. Consumer Goods, Industrial and Oil/Gas indices advanced by 0.09%, 0.99% and 0.32% respectively. While Banking and Insurance indices declined by 0.43% and 0.54% respectively.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 37.63% and value decreased by 45.95%. Investors traded a total of 229 million units of shares valued at N1.75 billion in 3,575 deals.
