Daily Market Report for September 02, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Positive. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.31% to close at 50,045.83 pts. Market Capitalization increased by 84.65 billion to close at N26.99 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 17.16%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly Bullish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the green zone. Banking, Consumer Goods and Insurance Indices advanced by 0.90%, 0.38% and 0.85% respectively. Oil/Gas Index declined by 0.05%. While Industrial Index remained unchanged.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 4.76% and value increased by 53%. Investors traded a total of 240 million units of shares valued at N2.68 billion in 3,435 deals.
