Daily Market Report for September 21, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.05% to close at 49,421.91. Market Capitalization decreased by 12.62 billion to close at N26.66 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 15.70%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 4 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Consumer Goods, Industrial, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices declined by 0.02%, 0.03%, 1.21% and 0.10% respectively. While Banking index advanced by 0.22%.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 64.85% and value decreased by 75.35%. Investors traded a total of 52 million units of shares valued at N590.01 million in 2,981 deals.
