Daily Market Report for September 26, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Positive. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.39% to close at 49,218.35. Market Capitalization increased by 103.42 billion to close at N26.55 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 15.22%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Consumer Goods, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices declined by 0.11%, 2.60% and 0.34% respectively. While Banking and Industrial indices advanced by 0.52% and 1.89% respectively.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 30.16% and value decreased by 73.89%. Investors traded a total of 118 million units of shares valued at N833.50 million in 3,560 deals.
