  • The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.33% to close at 49,026.62. Market Capitalization decreased by 88.31 billion to close at N26.45 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 14.77%.
  • Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Industrial, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices declined by 1.61%, 0.46% and 0.21% respectively. While Banking and Consumer Goods indices advanced by 0.85% and 0.10% respectively.
  • Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 33.38% and value increased by 79.16%. Investors traded a total of 169 million units of shares valued at N3.19 million in 3,206 deals.

  • Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 144.51% and value increased by 202%. Investors traded a total of 127 million units of shares valued at N1.78 million in 3,117 deals.
