The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed Flat. The benchmark All Share Index
(ASI) depreciated by 0.04% to close at 39,505.40. Market Capitalization decreased
by 8.82 Billion to close at N20.58 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled
at –1.90%.

Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to losses recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Industrial and Consumer goods sector. Some of today’s
market losers include: ABCTRANS (-8.33%), FIDELITYBK (-4.80%), CHIPLC (-3.92%),
WAPCO (-1.35%), STERLNBANK (-1.31%), TRANSCORP (-1.05%), UBA (-0.66%),
ZENITHBANK (-0.61%) and CADBURY (-0.56%) amongst others.

Securities Index (USI) advanced by 0.04% to close at 745.66. Consequently, Market
Capitalization closed at 648.11 billion. Market activity measured by aggregate
