The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed Positive. The benchmark All Share
Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.17% to close at 39,252.19. Market Capitalization
increased by 35.44 Billion to close at N20.451 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD)
returns settled at –2.53%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to gains recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Industrial and Consumer goods sector. Some of today’s
market gainers include: CHAMS (4.76%), WEMABANK (3.66%), MANSARD (3.49%),
JBERGER (2.97%), ACCESS (2.78%), NEM (2.56%), UCAP (2.23%), WAPIC (2.04%),
UBA (1.32%), DANGCEM (0.82%), FBNH (0.67%), ZENITHBANK (0.21%) and GTCO
(0.18%) amongst others.
