The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share
Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.19% to close at 47,340.86 pts. Market Capitalization
decreased by 47.33 billion to close at N25.51 trillion while the Year-to-Date (YtD)
returns settled at 10.83%.
What shaped today’s market direction?
Today’s market direction can be largely attributed to losses recorded in large and
mid-cap stocks in Banking, Industrial and Consumer Goods. Some of today’s market
losers include CORNERST (-8.82%), AIICO (-4.41%), FCMB (-4.17%), SEPLAT (-
3.03%), FIDSON (-3.00%), UCAP (-2.32%), UBA (-2.30%), GTCO (-1.87%),
ZENITHBANK (-0.74%), MTNN (-0.24%) and NB (-0.22%) amongst others

The NASD market closed Negative after today’s trading activities as the Unlisted
Securities Index (USI) decreased by 0.46% to close at 713.06. Consequently, Market
Capitalization closed at 603.81 billion. Market activity measured by aggregate
volume increased by 2,285.86% and value increased by 494.47%. Investors traded a
total of 2.57 million units of shares valued at N44.73 million in 18 deals
