Daily Market Report for July 28, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 1.04% to close at 49,667.14 pts. Market Capitalization decreased by 281.18 billion to close at N26.78 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 16.27%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 4 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Consumer Goods, Industrial and Insurance Indices declined by 3.54%, 3.77%, 0.46% and 3.19% respectively. While Oil/Gas Index advanced by 0.59%.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 75.14% and value decreased by 4.49%. Investors traded a total of 206 million units of shares valued at N3.92 billion in 5,053 deals.
