- The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 1.60% to close at 48,554.76 pts. Market Capitalization decreased by 426.17 billion to close at N26.19 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 13.67%.
- Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 4 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Consumer Goods, Industrial and Oil/Gas indices declined by 0.07%, 3.13%, 4.62% and 4.94% respectively. While Insurance index advanced by 1.83%.
- Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 66.34% and value increased by 144.64%. Investors traded a total of 204 million units of shares valued at N3.18 billion in 3,533 deals.
