• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.11% to close at 49.991.41 pts. Market Capitalization decreased by 29.12 billion to close at N26.96 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 17.03%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly Bearish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Industrial and Insurance Indices declined by 0.91%, 0.35% and 0.07% respectively. Consumer Goods Index advanced by 0.55%. While Oil/Gas Index remained unchanged.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 16.29% and value decreased by 46%. Investors traded a total of 201 million units of shares valued at N1.45 billion in 3,976 deals.
