  • The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Positive. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 1.42% to close at 50,370.25 pts. Market Capitalization increased by 379.16 billion to close at N27.16 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 17.92%.
  • Performance across sectors was broadly bullish as 5 out of 5 sectors closed in the green zone. Banking, Consumer Goods, Industrial, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices advanced by 6.60%, 0.20%, 0.24%, 0.11% and 0.06% respectively.
  • Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 23.55% while value decreased by 28.29%. Investors traded a total of 255 million units of shares valued at N2.81 billion in 4,905 deals.

  • Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 4 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Consumer Goods, Industrial and Insurance Indices declined by 3.54%, 3.77%, 0.46% and 3.19% respectively. While Oil/Gas Index advanced by 0.59%.
  • Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 75.14% and value decreased by 4.49%. Investors traded a total of 206 million units of shares valued at N3.92 billion in 5,053 deals.

  • Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 431.17% and value increased by 39.79%. Investors traded a total of 830 million units of shares valued at N4.11 billion in 4,977 deals.

  • Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 4 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Consumer Goods, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices declined by 1.85%, 1.27%, 1.69% and 0.49% respectively. While Industrial Index remained unchanged.  
  • Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 57.98% and value increased by 16.78%. Investors traded a total of 156 million units of shares valued at N2.94 billion in 4,618 deals.

  • Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 51.79% and value decreased by 17.77%. Investors traded a total of 99 million units of shares valued at N2.51 billion in 4,314 deals.
