Daily Market Report for June 24, 2022
| The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Positive. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 0.17% to close at 51,705.61 pts. Market Capitalization increased by 46.83 billion to close at N27.87 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 21.04%.Performance across sectors was broadly bearish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Consumer Goods, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices declined by 0.56%, 0.71%, and 0.46% respectively. Banking Index advanced by 0.06%. While Industrial Index remained unchanged. Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 30.08% and value decreased by 35.82%. Investors traded a total of 156 million units of shares valued at N1.83 billion in 4,312 deals. |
