Daily Market Report for August 25, 2022

• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Positive. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 2.03% to close at 49,661.87 pts. Market Capitalization increased by 532.16 billion to close at N26.79 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 16.26%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly bullish as 4 out of 5 sectors closed in the green zone. Banking, Consumer Goods, Insurance and Oil/Gas indices advanced by 0.19%, 0.77%, 0.35% and 0.65% respectively. While Industrial index declined by 0.01%.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume increased by 35.15% and value decreased by 18.08%. Investors traded a total of 226 million units of shares valued at N2.76 billion in 3,515 deals.
