• The Nigerian Exchange Limited Bourse closed Negative. The benchmark All Share Index (ASI) depreciated by 0.09% to close at 49,599.73 pts. Market Capitalization decreased by 24.38 billion to close at N26.75 trillion and the Year-to-Date (YtD) returns settled at 16.11%.
• Performance across sectors was broadly Bearish as 3 out of 5 sectors closed in the red zone. Banking, Insurance and Oil/Gas Indices declined by 0.30%, 0.03% and 0.32% respectively. Consumer Goods Index advanced by 0.10%. While Industrial Index remained unchanged.
• Market activity measured by aggregate volume decreased by 7.23% and value decreased by 38.79%. Investors traded a total of 129 million units of shares valued at N1.67 billion in 3,426 deals.
